Hector Gordon

Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director

Appointed as an executive director in June 2005, Mr Gordon is a geologist with 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry. His previous employers include Delhi Petroleum, Esso Australia, AGL Petroleum and Santos Limited. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society of Petroleum Engineers

Neil Gibbins

Exploration Manager

BSc (Hons)

Mr Gibbins graduated as a geophysicist in 1981 and has been employed by Esso Australia Limited and Santos Limited. From 1987 to 1997, prior to joining Beach, he worked for Santos Limited on oil and gas exploration and development in the South Australian sector of the Cooper and Otway Basins.

Prior to leaving Santos, he was the Exploration Supervisor, responsible for oil exploration and regional acreage assessment for PELs 5 and 6 and oil and gas exploration in the onshore Otway Basin. He is a member of PESA and the ASEG.

Kathryn Presser

Chief Financial Officer and Joint Company Secretary

BA (Accounting), Grad Dip CSP, FAICD, CPA, ACIS, AFAIM

Joined Beach in January 1997 and was appointed to the role of Company Secretary in January 1998. Appointed as the Chief Financial Officer in June 2005, Ms Presser has over 21 years experience in senior accounting and company secretarial roles. She is also a member of the Petroleum Society of Australia. A qualified chartered secretary, she also holds the rank of Major in the Australian Army Reserves. She is also a director of the Australian Dance Theatre.

Andrew Maxted

Group Accountant

Mr Maxted obtained his Accounting qualifications from the then South Australian Institute of Technology in 1971. He has worked for Delhi Petroleum and Santos for a total of 23 years with a 10 year sojourn into the real estate industry.

Mr Maxted joined Beach in January 2003 and brings with him good experience and a detailed working knowledge of the oil and gas industry. He is an Associate of the Society of Accountants.

Cathy Oster

Legal & Corporate Counsel and Joint Company Secretary

BA (Jurisprudence), LLB, LLM (Corporate & Commercial)

Appointed joint Company Secretary in July 2005. Ms Oster has more than 14 years experience as a lawyer and a partner in private practice, advising on corporate and commercial transactions. She is a member of the Law Society of South Australia and the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association. She also serves on the board of a not for profit aged care provider.

Gordon Moseby

Production Manager

Mr Moseby graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1992 with a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering. He initially gained extensive experience planning and implementing development and production enhancement projects in the Cooper/Eromanga Basin with Santos Ltd. Whilst subsequently employed by Chevron Niugini and Oil Search Ltd his experience was broadened to include projects within the the Papua New Guinea foldbelt. Mr Moseby joined Beach Petroleum in early 2003 and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia.
