WA 208P (Beach earning 10%)

WA-208-P is located 100km off the northwest coast of Western Australia and covers about 1290km2 in the central portion of the Dampier Sub-basin. The permit area is highly prospective for oil and lies adjacent to the producing Wanaea, Cossack, Legendre, and Wandoo Fields. Beach earned a 10% interest by contributing to the funding of the Hurricane-1 well, which discovered a 76m gas column in January '05. Hurricane-2 was drilled in July ’07 to address the downdip oil potential but, while successfully intersecting an 18-metre oil leg, the result is currently viewed as sub-commercial. The Joint Venture is currently considering its exploration program.

WA 264P (Beach earning 16.67%)

WA-264-P is located in the southern part of the prolific Barrow Sub-basin, off the northwest coast of Western Australia. Beach farmed into this offshore permit in March 2004, earning a 16.7% interest by contributing to funding for Corowa East-1 (P&A in January 2005).

Recent oil discoveries in adjacent permits have highlighted the western portion of the permit and the Joint Venture is planning to conduct a 3D seismic survey later in 2007 to better image the zones of interest in this area
