ATP 633P (Beach 85%)

ATP 633P lies along the southern flank of the Queensland portion of the Cooper Basin. Native Title issues were finally resolved during 2005, and Beach was formally awarded the permit on March 1st, 2006.

The tenement surrounds, but does not include the Cooper Basin Joint Venture operated Munro oil field (Delhi 40%). The block also includes the Gidgee-1 well, which tested oil from the Birkhead Formation at a rate of 1,028 barrels per day and produced approximately 6,000 barrels of oil during an extended production test.

Several attractive exploration prospects were identified within the permit area and new 2D and 3D seismic programs acquired in 2006 to highgrade prospects. Kewarra-1 was drilled in April 2007 to test one of these prospects. The well had encouraging shows and wireline logs indicate that a minor oil column was intersected, but it was considered to be a sub-commercial discovery and the well was plugged and abandoned.

Further drilling will be undertaken in 2008 following the interpretation of the 2D seismic program.
