Bodalla Block - PL's 31, 32, and 47 (Beach 100%)

These production licences cover the Bodalla South, Kenmore and Black Stump fields in south-western Queensland, approximately 1,000 kilometres west of Brisbane.

The fields were discovered in 1984-86 by Beach and its co-venturers and have ultimate recoverable primary reserves of approximately 20 million barrels.

In late 2001/early 2002 Beach acquired the interests of Oil Company of Australia and Santos Ltd in the Bodalla Block taking Beach to 100% ownership.

Beach acquired 3D seismic surveys over the Bodalla South and Kenmore Fields in 2002, and has since drilled five wells at Bodalla South, and twenty-one wells at Kenmore in a series of campaigns. This drilling has yielded substantial increases in oil reserves and has maintained field production rates.

The production rate at August 2007 from the Bodalla Fields totalled approximately 1,250 barrels of oil per day from 37 wells.

Further drilling is being considered for 2008 following a successful drilling campaign in 2007 at Bodalla South. The acquisition of a small 3D survey is being considered over Black Stump late in 2007.
