PEL 110 lies on the northwestern flank of the Patchawarra Trough and is primarily prospective for oil in the Eromanga Basin sequence.
Semaphore-1 and Yanerbie-1 were drilled in 2003 and 2005, respectively, to test structural traps located northeast of Santos' Keleary oilfield. No commercially significant hydrocarbons were intersected and both wells were plugged and abandoned.
The PEL-110 Joint Venture has reached agreement with Red Sky Energy, for them to fund an exploration well in the permit during 2007 in exchange for a 50% equity in the permit.
