PEL 91 - (Beach 40%)

PEL 91 lies on the south-western flank of the South Australian Cooper Basin, immediately to the north of PEL 92, in which the Sellicks, Christies and Callawonga oil discoveries are located. Carrickalinga-1 was drilled in August 2003 but failed to encounter commercially significant hydrocarbons. Udacha-1 discovered gas in the Patchawarra Formation in February 2006, with development options currently being considered.

Seismic acquisition during 2004 was curtailed due to flooded access, and was finally obtained in April 2005. Further seismic in late 2006 was aimed to mature a number of prospects that will lead to two drill locations in the latter half of 2007. The prospects chosen are likely to test the oil play on-trend with Sellicks, Christies and Callawonga fields to the south, and the recent Growler discovery in PEL 104, to the north.
